The plot revolves around Phua Chu Kang (Gurmit Singth) being persuaded by his mother Ah Ma (Neo Swee Lin) to bid for a contract to renovate the Heaven Can Wait old folk's home owned by the unscrupulous Lim Lau Pek (Henry Thia).
